Implementation

Telesis Systems provide a data link or interface to PMS (property management systems). This interface enables Telesis System owners to run their business effectively.

The implementation is Micros-Fidelio`s FIAS (Fidelio Interface Application Specification) protocol. FIAS is a de facto standard in the hotel / hospitality industry. Its wide spreadness allows Telesis Systems to be integrated easily to many PMS in the hotel / hospitality industry.

In this implementation, TCP/IP is used as the transport protocol layer. TCP/IP is a robust protocol that supports its own handshaking, transmission integrity checking, etc.

2. Guest Data

2.1 GI - Check In Record (from PMS)

Usage : sent from Fidelio to Telesis System upon guest Check In
Example : GI|RN101|
Note : Any date and time information is ignored by the Telesis System.

2.2 GO - Check Out Record (from PMS)

Usage : sent from Fidelio to Telesis System upon guest Check Out
Example  : GO|RN101|
Note : Any date and time information is ignored by the Telesis System.

3. Room Data

3.1 RE - Room Equipment Status (to PMS)

Usage : Sent from Telesis System to Fidelio when < Room House Keeping > + 1 ( room reqiure cleaning) or 0 (room clean) is dialed from RN to update Room Maid Status
Example : RE|RN101|RS1|
Note : Telesis System never sends RS5 or RS6

4. Wake Up

4.1 WR - Wake Up Request (from PMS)

Usage : Sent from Fidelio to Telesis to set the system wake up call
Example : WR|RN1011|DA010101|TI060000|
Note : Telesis System has one wake up memory for each RN. Therefore it updates wake up day and time to the latest requested.

4.2 WC - Wake Up Clear (from PMS)

Usage : Sent from Fidelio to Telesis to cancel the system wake up call
Example : WC|RN1011|DA010101|TI060000|
Note : For each RN the Telesis System has one wake up memory which is cleared only if the WC record has matching date and time. Telesis System wake up memory is also cleared if WC record has no date and time information or GI or GO record is received.

4.3 WA - Wake Up Answer (to PMS)

Usage : Sent from Telesis System to Fidelio to report the success or failure status of the wake up call.

5. Charge Posting

5.1 PS - Call Charge Posting (to PMS)

Usage : Sent from vendor to Fidelio to post call charges to guest folio
Example : PS|DA040316|TI060000| RN1011|DD3123030000|DU000225|MP10|PTT|
Note : TI is the time at which the call has ended.

5.2 PS - Minibar Charge Posting (to PMS)

Usage : Sent from Telesis System to Fidelio to post minibar charges to guest folio
Example : PS| DA040316|TI060000| RN1011| PTM|MA31|M#02|
Note : Sent from Telesis System to Fidelio when < Room Report > + pp (minibar article in 2 digits) + nn (Number of articles 2 digits) is dialed from RN.

5.3 PA - Posting Answer (from PMS)

Usage : Sent from Fidelio to Telesis System
Example : PA|RN1011| ASOK|DA010101|TI060000|
