V5.2 Protocol Converters

With the interworking capability, Stillink V5.2 Protocol Converters enable an exchange to adapt its existing equipment to the V5.2 protocol. This means Stillink V5.2 Protocol Converters:

  • allow V5.2 AN systems to be connected to LEs that do not support V5.2
  • allow AN vendors to facilitate the connection of their V5.2 ANs to existing non-compliant LEs.

V5.2 - SS7 Protocol Converter

Low Density Requirements

Low density Stillink V5.2 - SS7 protocol converters provide up to quad E1 span protocol conversion for up to 768 V5.2 users.

The Stillink 200 is an ideal and cost-effective choice for organizations needing a single E1 span V5.2 LE to SS7, and vice versa, protocol conversion. It is equipped with dual E1 interfaces. One interface is with V5.2 LE protocol to connect V5.2 access network and the other is with SS7 signaling support. The Stillink 200 supports up to 768 V5.2 users.
