Telesis A.S. with over 25 years experience in the telecommunications market announces the availability of Java based SIP client applet, which is hosted in its IP Telephony systems.

The applet can be run from any java enabled web browser. No software installation is required or no plugin is installed. The applet is just loaded temporarily onto the client`s browser. It can be used wherever is an access to the Internet. A web browser, a microphone, and a headset; sufficient to make web calls towards analog, digital, and IP users of the Telesis system.
 
Telesis WebPhone is completely an independent application. It works with all main browsers such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or Safari. The feature empowers web sites of Telesis system owners. Deploying the webphone on a web site is just an issue of placing a simple html link to the hosting Telesis system. It takes a few minutes only. 

The implemented protocol is the industry standard Session Initiation Protocol. But, Telesis IP Telephony systems, which host the applet, have been optimized in many respects like frame lenghts, echo cancellation, and jitter buffering. The jitter buffer in Telesis systems is made intelligent and adaptive for the received RTP packets from the client side. Consequently, the best audio performance is ensured wherever the call comes from.

Telesis WebPhone again reflects company`s minimalist approach in design. The applet is totally embedded into Telesis systems like the PX24 IP PBX employing a control and switching unit with a size of 8x10cm. And, the size of the applet is surprisingly a few hundred kbytes.
